Akabas & Cohen is now Akabas & Sproule
September 1, 2006

Seth Akabas and Michael Sproule announce that our firm has changed its name. Akabas & Cohen is now Akabas & Sproule. The name-change represents the beginning of a new and exciting phase in our firm's life. We assure you, and all of our clients, that our firm remains ready to meet your legal needs, just as we have for more than 15 years.

The name change represents an organizational change. Our partner, Rich Cohen, has left our firm to become a partner at the New York Office of Fox Rothschild, LLP, a national firm with nearly 300 attorneys. We wish Richard the best of good fortune. If you would like to reach him for any reason, his new phone number is (212) 878-7900.

At the new Akabas & Sproule, we are staffed and ready. All of our associates and counsel will remain with the firm. Our transactional and advisory matters will be supervised, as in the past, by the two of us, who have worked together for eight years. Litigation matters will be supervised by our litigation counsel: Chris Serbagi and Henry Rakowski, in New York, and Lou Lamatina, in New Jersey. In addition, we have recently welcomed to the firm our new paralegal staff member, Sarina Amiel.

We look forward to continuing to provide outstanding legal services in a client-friendly and highly personalized manner. If you have any questions about this change, please do not hesitate to call or email either of us.
